hahah wow, there is a lot of tension in this thread! Anyway, how is Elizabeth Stanley in the show?

It's not really tension, its just that Foster has a big stick up his ass that somebody needs to pull out.
Now, about Stanley...
She is too old for the role and in my opinion she is one of the weak links in the cast. But that also could be because her character is completely underdeveloped and underwritten, so she doesn't have very much to work with.

I saw the show in La Jolla and LOVED it. Was in perfect shape for Broadway? No, but the creative team is hard at work making changes to get the show in tip-top shape for Broaday. I still think it will win best musical. It's very funny, beatifully directed, very well cast and the choreography is to die for.
For the record, I hated A Catered Affair.
It would've been a much stronger piece had it been a play. The music and lyrics weakened the piece considerably.
And Mr Liff ain't that hot.
I am taking my sister to see it when we go to NYC in April. She LOVES the movie and I am trying to get her into theatre.

Are you taking her to Cry Baby or Catered Affair? Updated On: 12/28/07 at 02:47 AM
I'm going to assume DJ's talking about Cry-Baby.
I apologize for my threadjack.
Oh, I'm sorry. I was talking about Cry-Baby!
For the record, I loved CRY-BABY. I thought CATERED AFFAIR had an A+ cast but the book and score needed a lot of work before Broadway.
