Current Musicals on Vinyl

Hi Friends,

I just saw that the recent "revisal" of Carousel is out on vinyl, and other current musicals are certainly putting them out that way too.

I'm curious if people are still buying vinyl for these new shows. I know I already purchased the cast album on cd, because I collect albums, but I'm not going to buy a $30-40 vinyl months later...but that's me and I want other opinions. I feel like, I would buy more of the vinyls if they came out when the cd came out. i do collect older LP's of shows as well, but more obscure shows.

Barnes and Noble has been releasing exclusive vinyl editions of recent musicals. I got Once on vinyl not too long ago.

The My Fair Lady revival just got announced for a vinyl release

Mean Girls has a vinyl, I believe through Urban Outfitters.

I don’t pay too much attention. I’m sure there are more. It’s a prestige release if it is vinyl pressed.
