I think you stood a better chance of 'day of tickets' before the announced closing. I'm not so sure I would wait if you really want to see the show. If it were me, I would purchase them ahead just to be sure. There are plenty of discounts available on line now. In my mind; the closer the show gets to closing, the less likely you would be to find discounts, but that's only my way of thinking - so I wouldn't put to much stock in it.
IF and When you go just have a good time. There is Theater for Critiquing and there is Theater for just plain fun.
The current discount code on broadwaybox ends on May 30. I wonder if there will be discounts available after that. I was able to get a discounted ticket to Drowsy's closing night but I wonder if there might not be any discounts for June. I wouldn't be shocked if there weren't.
