Haven't seen Pirate Queen, but I've heard a few negative things about the show. I've seen Curtains...go see that. Even before seeing Curtains, I would choose Curtains over Pirate Queen.

Are you a student? Is it possible for you to rush Pirate Queen and pay full price for Curtains?

I haven't seen Curtains, but I would give PQ a chance. The cast alone is incredible.

This is a tough call. I'm going to see both. (But I bought my Curtains tickets first)

The cast of CURTAINS is probably the best company currently on Broadway: Hyde Pierce, Monk, Danieley, Ziemba, Hibbert, Sabella, Sikori, Paice...If you're gonna pick one over the other based on the cast, CURTAINS it is.
I'd pick CURTAINS over most musicals playing on Broadway at the time (except for GREY GARDENS maybe).

I've seen both and I recommend Curtains by far. PQ isn't a bad show, but I wouldn't pay to see it again. Curtains is an incredibly entertaining show and I am happily paying to see it again. :)

CURTAINS. It is going to be a very tough ticket, so get to now while you still can. And if you are talking about cast, CURTAINS does indeed have the strongest cast now on Broadway. Not just the leads. The ensemble is cast with some of the best and most in demand dancers and singers in the business - a virtual A List of gypsies.

Cheyenne Jackson tickled me. AFTER ordering SoMMS a drink but NOT tickling him, and hanging out with Girly in his dressing room (where he DIDN'T tickle her) but BEFORE we got married. To others. And then he tweeted Boobs. He also tweeted he's good friends with some chick on "The Voice" who just happens to be good friends with Tink's ex. And I'm still married. Oh, and this just in: "Pettiness, spite, malice ....Such ugly emotions... So sad." - After Eight, talking about MEEEEEEEE!!! I'm so honored! :-)

I would say go for Curtains. Pirate Queen (though visually appealing) isn't musically appealing. Curtains is a fun show with some fun music.

It's a shame you can't see both. It comes down to a genre choice. If you like big epic musicals then go for THE PIRATE QUEEN. If you prefer old-style "who done it" entertainment then go for CURTAINS. Both are great. This is really an amazing season for Broadway.

In response to other posts I'd have to say the cast of THE PIRATE QUEEN is just as good as that of CURTAINS. Stephanie and Hadley's voices are worth the ticket price alone. And the ensemble is one of the best I've heard/seen dance in years.

I thought CURTAINS was a lot of fun but if you are not a fan of those old traditional feel good musicals, then I would try PIRATE QUEEN. I agree with danhattan...they are two completely different shows and each has their own specific appeal. Stephanie Bock is really terrific in PQ.
