PIMPERNEL was one of the shows I found totally unbearable. Bombastic to say the least. I left at intermission.

The above come to mind right away. I am trying to remember where the others come from.

There once was a show, a few years back, called Broadway Jukebox. It was different every night. An audience came in & picked from about 80 songs from flops and / or cut songs & they performed a certain # of songs the audience picked. Shame but it did not last but an interesting concept none the less

I could be really mean and list all the songs that never made my Lost in Boston recordings - oh, yes, I could be mean, but I won't. I could, in fact, list the other eighty 110 in the Shade songs I didn't record.

Bulldog, I certainly respect your opinion about The Scarlet Pimpernel - everyone's tastes are different. I just happen to love Frank Wildhorn's music in general (and I think Linda Eder singing them is about as good as the sound of music can ever get to the ear) and I adore the music in TSP. I play the CD all the time and every time the lush, soaring melodies simply blow me away.

I Never Do Anything Twice was written by Stephen Sondheim for the movie The Seven Percent Solution
I Remember is a song from Sondhiem's TV musical "Evening Primrose"

All three songs are featured in SIDE BY SIDE BY SONDHEIM

Bulldog , I assume it was a typo regarding the date of the Evening Primrose broadcast - which ws November 16th, 1966 (not 1976)
