I saw one of Giddyup, Whoa's final performances! It was cut from THE WILL ROGERS FOLLIES.

Between you, Mr Roxy and Menken Fan, you got them all correct.

BTW, "Story Of My Life" (which was replaced in "Wonderful Town" because it did not suit the vocal range of Rosalind Russel, the original Ruth) is one of my favorite Bernstein songs - the melody is simply delicious. Apparently, Bernstein once commented it is his favorite song from the original score. (I'd love to hear Donna Murphy sing this.)

Oringinally sung by Violet at the end of the show. Alice Ripely does a recording of it on "unsuspecting hearts" its AMAZING.

It fit in right when she says NO. I don't remember the EXACT line that replaced it. BUT it is when the wedding doesn't end up happening. It was cut b/c although everyone LOVED the song, it was just as easily done w/ violet saying "no." it was a timing issue, it cut the mood of the show.

but was thought too comical and cheesy ending to the story so fosse asked kander and ebb to write something classy; a list of the great things that life has to offer; it's good, it's grand, it's great....

Cut songs have a place but in my humble opinion that place shouldn't be poked and prodded until about 10 years after the song was originally cut. Many things improve with age, but not all.

It appears all the titles listed so far have been identified except for "Something About Me Is Different." I'll admit I don't recall hearing that title at all.

Bulldog, these are all songs cut from FOLLIES (although All Things Bright and Beautiful did make it into the show as an instrumental piece in the overture).

Now When The Rain Falls was cut from THE SCARLET PIMPERNEL. But I disagree with your comment about it having nothing else to offer. Every song I have heard that either made it into this show or was cut from it, I find quite stunning. I saw the show twice on Broadway and loved it.
