i loved the complete works of shakespeare abridged! Good choice in shows!
"At the opening night party, they had clowns on stilts, jugglers, a chocolate fountain, popcorn, hot dogs. [My son] looked at me like I had been holding back. Like, 'This is what you do?' I had to tell him, 'No, no, darling. Opening nights don't usually look like this.' It's usually a dark bar with a bottle of vodka." ?Chitty Chitty Bang Bang's Jan Maxwell

I wish I was in London right now!! I love London at Christmas. What area of town are you staying in?
If you are into interior design, check and see if the Geffrye Museum has their Christmas exhibit on. They recreate historical Christmas interiors. I thought they were interesting.

Saw Mary Poppins last night and Jerry Springer this afternoon. Poppins is fabulous. Some of the most inventive staging I have evr seen. And the new number are all just as strong if not better than the ones they replace in the film. This show is going to be a money making machine just like Le Miz maybe even more. I will post a detailed review next week when I am back. The Sheraton charges internet by the hour. Jerry Springer was a hoot. The second half with Jerry Hosting the show with Jesus, God, Mary, and the Devil as his guests had me in hysterical laughter. Todays performance was a specially scheduled matinee.. so the audience was filled with people from other shows. Regent park is beautiful during Christmas. The energy here is electrifying. Too bad the ridiculous exchange value doesn't allow me to go shopping.

I try. Just spent the morning strolling through Hyde Park and Knitsbridge. Thank god Harrods is closed . One of the windows has a guy in a Christmas fantasy scene wearing a studded harness. My kind of holiday. Off to afternoon tea.

Where were you seated? I was in the first row of Dress Circle. What did you think of the show? Did you have some of the Stawberyy Cream Ice cream during intermission? Hmm delicious. And the young man who sold it to me.. hmmm.. even more delicious.
