For those who are commenting on the voice John Travolta uses...

COME TO BALTIMORE.
I lived there for 4 years and they really do sound like that. Well the women do. He did it a little extreme but there are still women there who talk just like he does in the movie. I had to laugh when I saw it and I have been very very critical of him doing the part.

"And BTW, The Producers and Rent didn't fail because they used original cast members. They failed because THEY WERE SH*T!!!!!"

I agree that the movie versions of these shows were not that great. I honestly think that Rent was better than The Producers. But I also believe that they shouldn't have made The Producers into a movie again. It was just another way to make money off of Nathan and Matthews names (which they didn't really succeed at).

As for Hairspray, I am totally psyched. I didn't like the original movie, but I saw the stage production and I loved it. The only role that I was unhappy with, was John Travolta. I wish that Harvey was doing it. He was so fantastic. As for Amanda, I think that there are other people who could play the role, but I don't think that Amanda will do a bad job. Penny is supposed to be a little out there and goofy. Amanda Bynes has that pegged. I think the movie is gonna be great! (knocks on wood)

Jennifer Hudson was barely shown in the trailer for DREAMGIRLS, prompting the freaks to scream that Paramount Pictures/Dreamworks was mileading the public by showcasing Beyonce' Knowles in the trailer. We all know what happened to Jennifer Hudson.

It's quite obvious that New Line is keeping the 'big' reveal to a minimum -- just enough to get the audiences excited. I'm sure it's quite intentional John Travolta's limited inclusion in the trailer.

Harvey had me from "Who wants to know?"
Yeah I was kind of dreading the show but watching the preview actually impressed me. The only thing I worry about it Travolta.
I think this movie is going to be great no matter what... I just hope it does not get beaten out by HP. I feel so bad...
