DEAR EVAN HANSEN Pre-Broadway in DC

Is anybody going to the pre-Broadway run of Dear Evan Hansen in Washington DC next month? I'm a fan of Pasek & Paul and I'm a sucker for original musicals created from scratch, so I may have to make the trip down and see it.

The cast includes Ben Platt in the title role along with Tony-nominee Jennifer Laura Thompson and the great Rachel Bay Jones and Emmy-winner Michael Park among others. The creative team is also superb, with Michael Grief, Danny Mefford, Alex Lacamoire, David Korins and Japhy Weideman.

I'm hoping to make it there in August. It looks incredibly exciting; I loved the song they released from it.

Seeing it in July! The show's scheduled run is from July 10 - August 23.

I saw it last night and loved it. The material is a little heavy but very moving and great score. I will likely try and catch this again before it closes in DC. There was a lot of crew in the back of the theater so suspect they are still making changes in previews as there was no song list in the program.
