Excited that that theater is getting some new life. Now we just need something at the Briar Street theater!

How often does the "let's transfer our Broadway show back to Off-Broadway" strategy work?

London is a different beast than NYC. Wages wise, Union wise, etc.

Six would need a Stage 42 vibe, it’s still a pop concert. I don’t think it would work as well in a tiny theater. I could see Oh Mary eventually shifting to maybe the theater across from The Public? Running for awhile on a variety of names.

That's a pretty damn stacked creative team!

Pink to Host the 2026 Tony Awards
 Apr 15 2026, 01:04:10 PM

Sure. I can understand your point, but I also don't think I get it? Like why be negative? This is a big deal for the Tony Awards and Broadway. So why cast a negative light on it? She's amazing. She's talented. She clearly cares for the community... I'm not seeing why you should have a negative opinion about it?

Also she's still selling out the same places those artists are playing so..

What’s Pink’s skill set and history in hosting? Besides the Kelly Clarkson show?"

Literally who gives a ****? She's a fun personality.

I was referring to the "hosting skill" comment. There are tons of "fun personalities" who are irrelevant. It's hilarious to see you people have a melt down over an opposing op

Could Lea Michele be the next Rose in GYPSY on Broadway?

As a non-Stan, yeah she would crush it. Too soon but def.

I don't think anyone said that? The actors are all getting paid. But they wouldn't have the material and the job if it wasn't for the authors...

Also, I think it's a sign of the times if something like Sunset Blvd can't recoup, but then there's shows like Maybe Happy Endings that are still big, and theatrical and hopefully will recoup. I think this season just hasn't really provided anything that most of us want to see. I usually do a yearly NYC trip b

Paddington at the Al Hirschfeld

Short answers: Yes. If it's a school play with a kid in some Bear ears, it'll still be a hit. The show is good. And it's better than just the gimmick.

What is there to even debate? She sold out Wrigley Field and Soldier Field here in Chicago. Sold out an entire world tour... She's VERY famous. I don't think the ratings are going to reflect her popularity only because A) This is a pretty lame season already B) The New Musicals (to me) are not exciting.

Yall are such downers. Damn. She just recently sold out stadiums across the country and played to 8 days of sold out shows in Australia. This is a major get for the theater community.

Does this mean the Music Box wouldn't be able to have a show open next spring in it? Or is there just enough a window to squeeze in

I wonder if there's a built in extension if it's a hot ticket?

I heard the 'Lamour' sign is just a very large vinyl decal. That'll probably be gone come August 1st, unless they extend.

Ah! Very smart! That's what I was curious about.

She's posted videos that have gone viral before so I commend her for being a forward thinker and thinking this might help the visibility of the show. At least someone's marketing it!
