Now that the holidays are officially upon us, let us all find holiday icons and signature messages with a holiday reference.
Let's bring some holiday cheer to the internet!

Can I wait until December 1, Dolly?
I want Ann Pennington to have a little bit of fun before Monday!

Hey, this was only a suggestion. You don't have to ask my permission about something like this!
Is she related to Chad Pennington of the New York Jets?)

You'll have to ask Chad, Dolly.
"Hey Chad, are you by any chance related to the late Ann Pennington, former sat of the Ziegfeld Folles and the 1929 musical film THE GOLD DIGGERS OF BROADWAY? Why, you ARE?! And you say you've saved her tap shoes! My you are SUCH a sweet boy. Tell me more. I'm all yours, darling."

Dolly Pop, There you are! I was starting to get worried about you. I haven't seen you or Albin on the board in the longest!
Welcome home!

In the spirit of the season, I've chosen to do this in lieu of work....
Everyone
Down in mid-town
Liked Broadway a lot.
But the Weisslers,
Who lived just North of mid-town,
Did NOT!
The Weisslers hated Broadway!
The whole Broadway season!
Now, please don't ask why. No one quite knows the reason.
It could be that their heads weren’t screwed on quite right.
It could be, perhaps, that their shoes were too tight.
But I think that the most likely reason of all
May have been that their hearts were two sizes too small.
But,
Whatever the reason,
Their hearts or their shoes,
He stood there on 42nd, hating the shows,
Staring down from their cave with sour Weissler frowns
At the warm lighted windows below in their town.
For they knew everyone down in midtown below
Was busy now, seeing a show.
"And they're buying their cast albums!" they snarled with a sneer.
"Tomorrow is the Tonys! It's practically here!"
Then they growled, with their fingers nervously drumming,
"I MUST find a way to keep Broadway from coming!"
For, tomorrow, they knew...
Someone else can finish it, I have to finish my review of Beckett/Albee (among other papers, hoorah for the end of the semester)....

Broadwayguy, the ornament in my icon is one from my collection. I have a vast number of glass ornaments that I've been collecting since I was 14--from authentic Shiney Brites to the gorgeous Christopher Radko designs. I have so many that I put up two trees.
As to why I haven't posted in a while, the answer is simple: I had nothing to say.

Ok I changed my icon to the tree in County Center. I need to lighten the picture and repost it but I will.

Dolly, do you know those boys in Brooklyn whose two specialties are selling antique Christmas ornaments AND vintage male erotic photography? They couldn't be sweeter.
