DEH Stagedoor?

I know there's been many threads about this, but has anyone stagedoored DEH because I have some questions about it...

1. Is it true that the people who didn't see the show have to go into a separate section of the barricade?

2. Does the cast come out after matinees?

3. If one wants to stagedoor without seeing the show, how early would they have to get there??

and just any other information about the stagedoor would help. Recently there's been a lot of rumors about the stagedoor so I'd just like to know what's true and what's not. Thanks!

1. No one would be able to tell who just saw the show and who didn't

2. Some of them - it depends on the show

3. Maybe around 10? Honestly kind of a shady thing to do though unless you recently saw the show

Due to recent situations that occurred over social media and due to security and insurance liabilities, they have discontinued all activities outside the stage door pre and post performances. The area is now patrolled and the NYPD clears out the area from people. The actors now arrive and leave thru an alley.

I didn't stay for stage door tonight after the performance, but there were definitely barricades set up with the guards as usual and a crowd of people, so I doubt that they have discontinued all stage door activity?

I just saw a picture from last Sunday of the stagedoor and Ben, Laura, Jennifer, and Rachel all came out.

They definitely have not discontinued stage door. I believe there is now a barrier for people who haven't seen the show, but I think the cast that comes out has still been stopping by that section from what I've heard.

Yes there is a separate section for people that haven't seen the show. They check tickets and obviously people turning up when the show is still ongoing haven't seen the show.

This person is joking. There are no alleys :-P

No reason to get to the stage door more than 10-15 mins before the show lets out. The barrier stops just before the door of the box office window, so stand in that area for your best chance of getting a good spot. If you loiter closer around the actual stage door they will push you all back anyway when they set up the barriers. Might as well stand closer to the actual spot they let you be in.

Yeah, it's very high-tech to put someone outside during the show and tell people arriving they have to stand in a certain place. Couldn't be done.

Has anyone actually stagedoored DEH?

Yes. It's like a fu*king Game of Thrones battle. I hope they stop entirely, but as long as security is very tight, and crowds behave (doubtful until the tourists leave in the Fall), I imagine some of the actors will do it occasionally.

Yes. I was there last Sunday. It was fine, and the girls around me were super nice. Ben came over to our little squished corner and took the time to sign for everyone. We passed playbills up and said "anyone else??" before we all thanked him before he left our area. It wasn't like anyone who wanted something signed missed out.
