DIRTY DANCING - THE CLASSIC STORY ON STAGE, the musical based on the Hollywood film that starred Patrick Swayze, will make its U.S. debut in September at Chicago's Cadillac Palace Theatre.
Performances will begin Sept. 2 as part of the Broadway in Chicago Season series. Casting, additional tour dates and ticket information for the musical's national tour will be announced shortly.

WHY, Broadway in Chicago, WHY?
Also, could the article perhaps mean the Auditorium Theatre? Currently the Cadillac Palace is booked through the end of September with The Color Purple, with Phantom of the Opera beginning there at the end of October.

Everyone here in the UK says "sorry" in advance that you are having to endure this lol.
They need to be careful promoting this and make sure they don't mention the word musical as it's not and they got a slapped wrist for saying that over here.

Posted: 8/14/07 at 7:22am...at least you didnt send us 'Good Vibrations' or 'The Look Of Love' I sat just behind Anne Rienking at a preview of 'TLOL' and she almost burned a book of notes by the end of the show and left rather fast at the curtain looking very unhappy. The show was dead and gone within weeks. And dont even start me on about those bloody surfboards on hydrolics in 'GV'
