Hi Everyone!

I work for the School of American Ballet this summer and we have many field trips scheduled.

3 of these trips are to Broadway, and we have about 20 extra tickets for sale for each show. Seats are usually rear mezzanine or balcony.

SLAVA'S SNOWSHOW
July 12 and 13th, 8:00pm
Discounted Price = $35.00

THE LION KING
July 25 and 27th, 8:00pm
Discounted Price = $41.25

TARZAN
August 1 and 3rd, 8:00pm
Discounted Price = $38.75

PAYMENT DEADLINE
You will NEED to hand-deliver your payment (check or cash) to the Front Desk of the School of American Ballet JULY 5 or 6th, between 4-9:00PM.

PAYMENT LOCATION
Front Desk of the School of American Ballet.
14th floor of the Rose Building at Lincoln Center, by Juilliard). A security guard might stop you at the 11th Floor, in which case someone will meet you down there. (It's really not as complicated as it sounds).

TICKET DETAILS
You will meet us AT the theatre the night of the performance to get the ticket from a School of American Ballet chaperone. That will be ME on July 13, 27, and August 3. And another chaperone the other show dates (not hard to see, we're in a group of skinny ballet kids).

CONTACT DEADLINE
Please let me know, via Private Message, if you or a friend would like to purchase a ticket(s) to any of these shows TO BE BOUGHT BY THIS Wednesday or Thursday (July 5 or 6th).

What exactly is Slava's Snowshow?

I just keep getting e-mails about it from Playbill.com saying that it's really good. Kinda curious. I wouldn't spend money on it though, because the clown looked dirty and that reminds me of this book I read called 'IT' and that clown was scary and it gave me night terrors.

Anyways.

What is it about?

The Snowshow is WONDERFUL!
There is no obvious plot, however the imagery and physicality of these actors is incredible.
One of the best parts is the audience interaction throughout the first few rows of the orchestra. So I don't know what it'll be like toward the back/mezz. but regardless- a must see.
Definitely the most unique experience/worthwhile trip of those 3.

I saw Slavas snow show from the mezz. I really really hated it. I think it's my least favorite show I've ever seen.

I saw Slava's in San Francisco and it was one of the most fun and mind-blowing experience I've ever had in the theatre. If you're open-minded and able to truly appreciate clowning, physical humor, and non-traditional theatre, it's thrilling. These are some of the best clowns in the world. I can go on and on but just SEE IT!

Tickets still up for grabs.
If the discounted price isn't alluring enough, remember that you're also (indirectly) supporting the School of American Ballet :) Updated On: 7/6/06 at 12:27 AM

The student tix for Slava's show are $25 and i agree with Just_John, it was one of the worst things i have ever seen. Those $25 i spent really did hurt! The Lion King sells tix for $ 40 if im not mistaken, the only good deal, I'd say is Tarzan, because the rush tix are available and you have to wait in line for awhile, so i'd rather spend 20 more bucks and avoid the trouble.
