From Playbill.com:
"Off-Broadway's Dog Sees God: Confessions of a Teenage Blockhead has announced a closing date of Feb. 26 at the Century Center for the Performing Arts.
Trip Cullman (The Last Sunday in June) directed the take-off of the "Peanuts" characters, which began Dec. 1, 2005, and opened Dec. 15 at the downtown stage. By its run's end, the show will have played 12 previews and 86 performances."

Farewell, CB. It's been fun.
I'm glad I'm going the 24th!!!
Dang nab it! Double post
Aw geeze... I REALLY wanted to go see this when I go down to NYC with my Model UN group in May... Dang it!
I was lucky enough to see it with the original cast. Too bad it's closing.

I am so shocked that this is closing. I will be going to the final performance for my 6th and final viewing of the show

I was very surprised to hear the news, I thought it was doing pretty well despite some of the cast leaving. I have a feeling they always intented to close it around now because they never recast any of the parts once the original cast members left. That's kinda odd

Sadness. I loved this show and hoped to see it again in march. I will miss it by a week. I saw the original cast and then talked to them after the show. They were allso down to earth. It was refreshing. The show changed my life as a writer.
RIP

Bert V. Royal (the playwright) was on Chatterbox yesterday and he talked about how this is his first play he ever wrote, he pretty much put out the whole thing in a week, submited it to the Fringe at the last possible minute and the rest is history. That's incredible
I think this show is incredible- I saw it twice. Hopefully, I'll get to see it again before closing...
Did you see the Reidel article about the supposed backstage drama during the run of this show. Very sordid stuff...yikes!

Sounds like backstage is a play in itself!

I knew that influx of subway ads about a week or two ago was a bad sign. Especially since they falsely advertised all the original stars being in the show when everyone was leaving right about now. That smelled a tad bit like desperation.
Saw the show with everyone but America Ferrera, who was out that day. Enjoyed myself a lot. It's a great space though, so hopefully something good will fill it soon.

The Century is constantly occupied. It's one of the most desirable Off-Broadway commercial spaces and will likely be booked again in a few weeks.
"I've hung out a few times with the cast and the playwright and you have NO IDEA."
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
It's closed. They announced on the 21st that they'd played their last performance the night before.

Good riddance to bad rubbish. An idiotic show that should never have opened.

Aw, I really wanted to see this...
Roscoe, my good man, you've become awfully EnchantedHunter of late. It's disturbing me.

Sorry, popcultureboy, but it was hard to find anything at all good to say about DOG SEES GOD. Except of course that it closed. Ick.

Geez Roscoe, if I were as witty as you, perhaps my play would still be open.
Ah well. Better luck next time, right?
Yours truly,
