Evanston - Have you ever heard or seen Tom Hewitt in the role of Dracula? He is absolutely amazing. Any ways, I think that this production of Dracula could potentially be a chance for composer Frank Wildhorn to score with the critics. I think it is totally rediculous for people to say that a musical with flop because it is a "Frank Wilhorn Musical"....I think that is a biased and premature conclusion. I understand that most of his other shows were not to popular with the critics....I've seen them and can understand where the critics were coming from with their opinions. Aside from that, Dracula has been increasingly reworked, and has had seven new song additions. The La Jolla cast was phenominal, and the technical aspects of the production were so amazing that it is almost to hard to describe. I am pleased with the sudden uprising of vampire musicals. The subject of vampires contains much drama and suspense, and leaves room for other genres such as romance, comedy, horror, mystery, etc. I personally can't wait for Dracula to open this summer and am looking forward to seeing it....I'll be there!!!
See Ya Later!
