I second what Ruffian has said
Hallelujah
Unfortunately, I can hear the critics now. The show "sucks", put a stake in it, it makes DOTV look good etc etc

Hopefully, unlike Civil War , a cast album will be made
I hope the backer has deep pockets. He will have to counter the expected dreadful reviews

It's vampires by Frank Wildhorn... of course it's going to get scathing reviews.
Best wishes to the show but I'm a bit apprehensive.

Judging from Wildhorn's track record, one can assume this latest "show" also has no dramaturgical purpose or musical concept behind it, has been chosen because its source material is in the public domain, and, like Jekyll and Hyde, is another lame attempt, even at this late date, to replicate the success of The Phantom of the Opera. No doubt we can look forward to further articles of Wildhorn suggesting he is the Richard Rodgers of contemporary musical theatre.

Hope that this time the Musical about Dracula is better than the others.
You must die to live forever
I will show you the depths of the night
We can never go wrong together
I will take you to the end of the line
My eyes are like a shadow on you

The reviews for the show when it was in La Jolla were pretty good. I am sure the critics will be unfair. They always are.
But I love his music and I love Scarlet Pimpernel and Jekyll and Hyde and Civil War so I am sure I will love this too.

This and Lestat? What's up with the Vampires invading Broadway. Or are vampires this years witches?
PEACE.

I saw this in La Jolla and found it to be a remarkable production in that it captured the legend of Dracula as well as giving it real theatrical emotion and depth, and the music was pretty good, Tom Hewitt was a marvel in the title role, I wish it the best on it's journey to Broadway!

I'll go.
I'm a sucker for vampires.
They are sexy, sexy creatures on stage.
I spent too much time on the DOTV fan website...

Tom Hewitt is great. Just saw him in the Urinetown tour and he was excellent in Rocky Horror Show.
BSoBW2: I punched Sondheim in the face after I saw Wicked and said, "Why couldn't you write like that!?"
