DREAMGIRLS: the next effie white is . . .

The person right for Effie White is Koshka Ranelle. Now I've seen her play Effie and the girl brought the house down. She got standing ovations in every performance. A couple of years ago, she played the Fairy Godmother in the national tour of Cinderella and got excellent reviews from critics nationwide. I was in NYC at an audition and she was singing "And I Am Telling You." You could hear a pin drop from the entire floor listening to her singing. I heard she blew the casting agents away. I didn't even know it was her at the time. And when she came out of her audition, people were just clapping and amazed at her singing style; they were asking her name. Some of the people just walked up to her to let her know how good she sang, and some felt that there was no need for them to audition after her performance. They just wanted to meet her so that they could tell others that they met her before she blew up. Fantasia, Frenchie, Beyonce, can't touch her. I hope she auditon for Effie and get the role. You'll see what I'm talking about.
