The person right for Effie White is Koshka Ranelle. Now I've seen her play Effie and the girl brought the house down. She got standing ovations in every performance. A couple of years ago, she played the Fairy Godmother in the national tour of Cinderella and got excellent reviews from critics nationwide. I was in NYC at an audition and she was singing "And I Am Telling You." You could hear a pin drop from the entire floor listening to her singing. I heard she blew the casting agents away.
