"though (dump the mug) is in there somewhere." Isn't that your statement Fosse? Is that the same or different? Would you please clarify your statement. Is the book your source?
I do believe though that I just thanked her for the London version of the show. I wasn't even arguing that there was a difference. Though Bob did state he made changes between the London and Broadway show but they weren't too noticeable. That too, is a rather general statement with nothing specific in mind.

I am a bit lost with the arguement hear. What I have put is what I heard in the London version, though I now remember I saw an understudy Feltzig. (I am a he if it was me you are referring too).
One of the joys of live theatre is the small changes, maybe the night I went the "Mug" line was missed (I remember it but saw the show twice and can't remember where it was).
The main change for London was about what theatre it was in (The Novello, well it was the Strand then, it's the Novello now etc...) and the fact that the show didn't do well in London, I presume that was only added after the show's closure was announced

Don't worry turquoisefish it has nothing to do with you. I just thanked you for posting from London. A few line changes were made but I'm not sure where. A few people posted at the same time I did and I couldn't remember if that part was different or not.
Fosse misread my post and then added the mug part but I don't think that is that part of the show, so I asked if Fosse knew what part it was in.

This is what Felzig says, in this order:
"Janet, I am begging you. DUMP THE MUG. Stay with the Follies."
I'm POSITIVE.

[holds hands up]
OK, it seems I misheard that line somehow (I mean remembered it wrong lol).
The line I thought was:
Feldzig: Janet, Janet I'm begging you, don't go off, stay with the follies , I'll give you anything you want. I'll ... I'll ... oh fine, I'll even put your name above mine on the marquee.
Is actually:
Feldzig: Janet, Janet I'm begging you, dump the mug, stay with the follies , I'll give you anything you want. I'll ... I'll ... oh fine, I'll even put your name above mine on the marquee.
Sorry for any confusion
