The art on the marquee is nice. The poster, on the other hand, is very icky, as I said in the "Worst show poster" thread. It's not really the worst, but it confused the heck out of me until I actually saw the show.

And that picture of Danny (Aldolpho) and Beth (Drowsy)? PRICELESS. That is, by far, the best scene in the entire show.

the art for the show in LA was much more eye-popping. the color scheme was yellow, orange, and an aqua color. it also featured caricatures of the cast (ala annie get your gun revival). i liked it much better than the marquis marquee.

Courage does not always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day that says, "I will try again tomorrow."

Smaxie, you know if Merrick was alive and saw that marquee at the Marquis--there would be a lawsuit coming!! David was not one to shy away from legal action!

We were across the street from it yesterday and my (extremely loud) friend screeched, "THAT'S where The Drowsy Chaperone is going?!" stopped dead in his tracks, and pointed. Which caused a lot of people nearby to stop and follow his gaze.

I think it's pretty noticeable.
