#0DRS CD & QUESTION
Posted: 5/29/05 at 2:05amJust finished listening to the DRS CD, and its pretty good. Not as good as The Full Monty, to me at least, but def. worthwhile. My favorite songs are the Overture (which I don't normally listen to, but i love this one), Great Big Stuff, Love is My Legs, and Dirty Rotten Number. Question, what is the point of Love is my Legs, I haven't seen the show, but don't understand what its about. Also, what happens to Sarah G.'s character? She sings Oklahoma, then you don't hear from her again. Same with Joanna Gleason and her love interest, what happen to them? Don't worry about ruining the show for me because I won't see the show until it tours next year. Thanks.

Posted: 5/29/05 at 2:28amThe show is GREAT! You need to see it! Ok... Love is My Legs has to go along with Freddie's (Norbert's) "dance fever". It is part of the con they are pulling on Christine Colgate (Sherie). Basically he wheels in and says he needs to see the doctor because he has dance fever. Pay close attention to the previous track, The More We Dance, for better hints. It talks about them curing him with love... so Freddie uses that to his advantage with Christine on his own. His dance fever made him "numb" from the waste down so the fact he could feel his legs b/c of love is the whole idea for the song. It is a very funny scene. Sarah G.'s character tries to marry Lawrence (John) and he needs to find a way to get rid of her, which is what the whole Ruprect act is for. They succeed and she takes off back to Oklahoma. She really is only in her song and Ruprect and that is it. Joanna Gleason was with Lawrence as part of the "prince" con but then gets into a relationship with Andre (Greg Jbara) which you can hear in Zis/Zat. Hope that answers your questions without spoiling the show because part of seeing it is the twist! Hence the message from John Lithgow track!

Posted: 5/29/05 at 9:22ami have the CD but am hesitant to listen past the Lithgow warning -- BUT, I have seen the movie. Is there more to it than the twist in the movie, or am I safe to hear the rest of the CD?

Posted: 5/29/05 at 11:55amPerhaps if one is seeing the show over the next two weeks, they may not want to listen past Lithgow's "warning." Otherwise, of course people should listen to the whole thing. You'll still enjoy the show.

Posted: 5/29/05 at 4:46pmYeah, but I LOVED the twist. didn't see it coming at all. I love dirty rotten number my favorite part of the entire CD is when norbert sings "we still deserve a hand..." soooo good. "Chimp in a Suit" is okay. I really love the music for that song too. I think the score for this show is wonderful. I haven't got the Piazza CD yet, but so far i'm rooting for DRS!!
