re: DRS Movie...

it already is a movie?

re: DRS Movie...

The musical is based on a film starring Michael Caine and Steve Martin

re: DRS Movie...

that's what i was saying... do you mean you want to see a movie of the musical rather than the original story?

Man, I wish they'd make Singin' In The Rain into a movie..

re: DRS Movie...

The stage musical IS the original story...with added music. I think a movie-musical would work quite nicely.

re: DRS Movie...

What people don't seem to remember, or at least mention, is that the movie -- DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS -- is a remake of a 1964 David Niven/Marlon Brando movie -- BEDTIME STORY. Don't know if it is on DVD or Video, but I recall that it was a better movie than DRS.

Hm - didn't know that DRS was a remake of an old movie. The Caine/Martin one has long been one of my favorite comedies.

I also think the musical would translate well to the screen. There's enough variety to keep an audience engaged, and the numbers are staged like Vegas strip performances anyway.

re: DRS Movie...

i think it would make a great movie musical, but i think its a little too early to be thinking about it.
