Saw DRS again last night. My first time was for first night of previews. Did not really see any chnages, none are necessary. If Nobert Lee Butz doesn't win the Tony, I'll be VERY suprised (I'll be at the Tonys). I've now seen all the nominnees in this category, he definitely is the best. As an added bonus, every person was handed a free DRS CD as they entered the theatre last night - very cool!
Great show as usual, maybe some Tony voters in the audience?
Haven't seen all 4 nominated musicals yet. Have seen DRS and Spamalot, Will see Light in the Piazza tommorow, Spelling Bee next Tuesday. Want to see Doubt also befor ethe Tonys, but not sure if we can swing it (loved Plillowman).
Schedule may not aloow it. DRS last night, Light in the Piazza Fri, Spelling Bee Tuesday, Constant Wife Friday (Roundabout subscription night), and the Tonys on Sunday! Will probably try though, if it's anywhere as good as The Pillowman was!
I don't think they'll sell them; they're already selling a cast recording that has bonus tracks. They wouldn't sell this as well. They'll probably just keep giving away the free ones at their performances until they run out.
I assume the commercial version probably has the lyrics in the sleeve, too, which the giveaway doesn't.
Anyway, I think the show is giving away something like 50,000 copies of the cast recording- I got one last Wednesday, so there's a good chance they haven't run out yet.
