Yeah i know this was posted up before but i saw the show recently and duing the 'Oaklahoma' scene people said something about a script chnage and it didnt make any sense without that part. But it made perfect sense to me and i love the show like crazy now. So i was just wondering what the script change was: thank you :)
Originally, Norbert watched the scene from a box on stage left. It was pretty funny, seeing him climb down. They changed it around the time that they made the boxes the lotto. Not sure why. I loved it.
I haven't seen it since last April, when he was in the box. Sorry I can't provide specific lines. Hope that helped!
I went on Lithgows last night and they were still doing that bit. Now as far as I know, they had been doing the box seats for a while at that point, so I think that they got rid of it for a different reason, possibly at about the time that Pryce started performing in the show.
I think they were just trying to tighten the show up a bit. I went a couple of weeks after Pryce came into the show and the box seat bit was gone but so was some of the dialog between Lawrence and Freddy on the train. The whole bit about the dentist had been cut. I did hear someone say that they thought this had been put back in but it was out when I saw it.

Yes, Norbert does not appear in the box anymore.
but the train dialogue between lawrence and Freddy is back in. I have no idea why they took it out in the first place and why they now have decided to add it back in.
The dentist thing is where Freddy tries to size up Lawrence and guess what job he has. he guesses everything, inclucding shepard, before Lawrence says he is a dentist.

It still makes sense, kinda. You wouldn't really notice it if you weren't very familiar with the script--but the whole joke where Lawrence told Freddy to, "Just find somewhere else to sit!" isn't there anymore. It used to be funny because when he was told to just find somewhere else to sit, he came to one of the boxes--but now he's...sitting offstage, for all the audience knows.
True - although I did think it was kind of funny when he told Freddy that he thought J13 was empty.
There were actually a lot of script changes in the dialogue in general when Pryce took over. Muriel and Lawrence have different conversations when they meet, Jolene says a couple different things, a few others that I noticed.
