That's a shame. While the original movie is an irreplaceable document of Bob Fosse and Gwen Verdon's work, plus an almost complete recreation of the Broadway production, it was one of the more interesting ideas for a remake.

I would have loved to see that.

I'm not sure who could play Lola (Applegate?), but here are some people that I would PAY to play... Applegate (you know what I mean).

Yeah I heard about that shortly after Chicago as well as Guys and Dolls. That sucks it's be abandoned. It's one of my fav musicals and I would love to see it redone! And I think Seth MacFarlene for Applegate would be a great choice, I love his voice! Grr! Hopefully this will be picked back up in the future.
