Posted: 1/9/09 at 6:19pmThe poster, not the show. All of your gushing over Follies inspired me to buy a copy of Everything Was Possible and now I'm hooked. Fie and curses!

Posted: 1/10/09 at 7:21pmThe information age has really changed the way "personal collections" (as Ken Mandelbaum might call them) work.

But why must Mr. Mandelbaum guard his collection? Wouldn't it be more fun to share the thrill of the great shows of years gone by as our own Pal Joey has done with his extensive Follies collection?
I'm a collector of audios and demos and I have absolutely no problem sharing them to interested individuals because I like to hear other people's reactions and see if they get as excited as I do when I come across something great. I wish more people felt the same way.

Another great theater book - Before The Parade Passes By about Gower Champion or The Abominible Showman about David Merrick
If you like the Follies book, you will enjoy these
Another one, long out of print, "The Season" by William Goldman.
