Is Damon hard to catch? Ive had about 5 friends/family members see the show and theyve all seen the understudy (who I hear is great). In addition a lot of posts Ive seen here have also mentioned he was out. Im seeing Oklahoma next month and will be happy to see anyone, I was just curious if this is a known thing.
I saw the show in May and then Labor Day weekend and he was in both times!
I've seen it twice (Saturday matinee in May, Friday matinee in July) and he was in both times. I hope you catch him, he's great!

He was in it when I saw it (a Wednesday), but Ali Stroker was out.
Saw it this afternoon and Denver Milord was on as Curly.
He was great.
I saw it last Wednesday night and he was out. Everyone else was in. It's not him leaving for vacation obviously, because he has been in matinees and out for evening performances many times on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Perhaps he is now just playing the role part time. Denver was good, but I really wanted to see Damon. Guess I will try for their last week of performances.
He was out when I saw it a few weeks ago. It was disappointing. Perhaps Denver should just take over for the rest of the run.
If it helps, I saw it twice last week (Wednesday evening and Friday) and he was in. Everyone was, actually.

Damn, this is disappointing. Was hoping to see him in it next weekend but if it's unlikely we may see another show instead. Damon is the main draw, not fond of Oklahoma. Is he above the title?

He absolutely was not in September 11th at 7pm.

I'm very sorry. I meant September 4th and 6th.
That's okay, I am jealous you were able to catch him!

he's not above the title but my friend went when both he and RNJ were out (i think in july) and the box office gave them tickets to a later show without any issue. so if you are so dead set on seeing him, it might be worth trying.
(fwiw, hes great but Stroker, Jones, and Vail are the revelations here).

I can appreciate that but I'm being honest that Damon's pretty face and his pretty voice are the main draw for me, and with limited slots I'd rather see a different show than Oklahoma without him. I've heard nothing but good things about the understudy and the rest of the cast, I am sure they're fantastic, nothing against them at all. Just a case for me where the appeal is the person.
Tons of tickets still for sale for the show I'm eyeing (and the alternate show I was looking at) so I'll wait and see for now.
Thanks for the info guys, I won’t hold my breath for Damon or Ali! If they’re in it will be a nice bonus.
He wasn’t on when I saw it last Wednesday, but Ali was. Denver was great as Curly!
Damon was in on 9/10; on Thursday 9/12 and he (and Will Brill) were out. A friend who saw the show with me on Tuesday, won the matinee for Weds and she mentioned to me that Damon was very ill...
Damon is a big draw for me (as well as Rebecca) but his understudy, Denver, is fabulous.

Just jumping in here to support you in this.
I think this entire production is brilliant and revelatory, I've seen it twice, luckily with all principles.
But the second time I went....Damon was the main draw...

I was at the matinee yesterday and Damon was out. However, as many students have noted the understudy Denver is amazing! Coming in I was disappointed to see Damon was out (as I'm from out of town) but that all quickly faded when Denver entered.

Very ill? I hope it's something he can recover from and be back soon.
