DanCap to Bring Broadway Shows Back to the Toronto Centre for the Arts!

my only problem about this is will people leave the heart of downtown Toronto to basically, North York?? Hmmmm...

Anyone know what is on DanCap's next season and when that will be announced??

And someone mentioned May 20th as a potential season announcement date.

The $$$$$ is north of downtown, so it should work if the shows are good, but tourists are more of a problem.

Except that the tourist biz has been decimated in Toronto after SARS (not an assumption, I have biz up there in hospitality).

If the show is worthwile they will go. After all it's just a short (20 min?) Subway ride from Yonge & Bloor. SHOW BOAT, RAGTIME and FOSSE drew crowds. SUNSET BLVD didn't - even giving away hundreds of tickets people wouldn't go up there to see it. Torontonians have taste!
