Mirvish only really won 1 TONY Award, as they had no money in the Broadway production. Mirvish's money went to the London transfer (Chocolate Factory to West End).

However does any of this really affect the Toronto theatre scene?

I mean Night Music will not be touring without a starry starry cast. Promises Promises is only being done because of the people associated with it. And does the world really need more La Cage touring - especially when Priscilla's due soon?

Oh yay... we'll probably get the lacklustre Memphis next summer on tour for the Four Seasons centre. I just can't wait.
