It seems pretty clear to me that only Burstein is performing. I think there are better choices, but it's certainly a showstopper, and he deserves that Tony.

I'm thrilled Burstein is going to perform "Buddy's Blues" on the Tonys. I have loved his work for a long time. And it feels like it's his time.
That article is great. It's great to see such a terrific guy have the career he's having. It seems that nice guys sometimes do finish first.

I am still bitter about this. The most misguided step of the revival - this performance will be long forgotten. It doesn't work out of context.

While it is true Burnstein gave a magnificent performance in the show his character's songs are not iconic of the score ( although brilliant ). To not include one of Sally's themes would make the Tony's slot merely perfunctory.

It is only my opinion but there needs to be Bernadette performing solo or in duet or in quartet at the Tony's. Although not Tony nominated (SHAME) I don't believe FOLLIES would have run or had the same impact without her star performance.
