Danny Gurwin as Fiyero?

Does anyone else think that he would be a good choice to replace David Ayers when he leaves Wicked?

re: Danny Gurwin as Fiyero?

i don't get either of the comments. Am I missing something here?

re: Danny Gurwin as Fiyero?

Okay... so you haven't read the novel. In the novel, Fiyero has these blue diamonds that descend from his face, down his chest, and into his crotch..

I've been told that Fiyero doesn't have the tattoos in the show.

re: Danny Gurwin as Fiyero?

No tattoos. He's actually more of a cross between Avaric and Fiyero from the novel. He starts as Avaric and switches to Fiyero once Elphaba stops hating him. It's wierd. The show is really nothing like the book.

re: Danny Gurwin as Fiyero?

ugh..

That's so weird. And I read earlier where the queeny gay boys weren't even characters. I love the scene in the novel where Glinda's the flame dame and Crope's with her. Great stuff. Hilarious material... but guess not.

re: Danny Gurwin as Fiyero?

There are no gays in family musicals. You should know that. Duh!

It really is disappointing.

re: Danny Gurwin as Fiyero?

WICKED is not a family novel though.

So racism isn't a theme in the musical either?

And if not, then what's the point?

re: Danny Gurwin as Fiyero?

So, what is the reason for the Wizard's whole "anti-Animals" thing? And if there isn't one, then does the Goat even die? Geez...

Can someone actually tell me the plot of Wicked? I'm not going to go see it, so you won't be ruining anything. The pictures are much more prettier.

re: Danny Gurwin as Fiyero?

The goat does not die. He loses his teaching license or something lame like that. I sorta forgot. That subplot didn't really leave an impact on me.

re: Danny Gurwin as Fiyero?

So nobody else thinks he would be good in the role?... ok

re: Danny Gurwin as Fiyero?

oh, my god. seriously... Why do people like WICKED? I've learned so much stuff tonight, that I really have lost all interest in seeing it.

Why does Elphaba go to the city then? The whole point of her leaving was so she could be play this PETA worker and fight for the Animals. But that was only motivated by the death of the Goat, and how he died, and the tiktok robot thing that follows Morrible around.

Geez.

re: Danny Gurwin as Fiyero?

I'm not all that familiar with him. I don't have the "Little Women" Cast Recording yet.

re: Danny Gurwin as Fiyero?

I dont know the name. Sorry.

I'm so irked right now. Sorry for threadjacking...

re: Danny Gurwin as Fiyero?

Tiktok? Huh? There are tiktoks in Wicked? I didn't see any onstage.

They streamlined heavily.

re: Danny Gurwin as Fiyero?

In the novel, Morrible has this little manservant tiktok thing that follows her around, and it's the one who kills the Goat.

re: Danny Gurwin as Fiyero?

I know. I read the book.

There are so many things that could have made for such funny material. I guess there's no room for that. Whatever. I guess we're sticking with "Popular!" This show is all about Popu-oo-lar.

re: Danny Gurwin as Fiyero?

But w/o the two other girls, she isn't popular. You can't be popular w/o a posse.

re: Danny Gurwin as Fiyero?

Great idea!

re: Danny Gurwin as Fiyero?

I'D LOVE to see him as Fiyero :)
And the other thing about the Phantom Lady was, Bert, she realized, in the city that never sleeps... What did she realize, Kitten? That all the songs she'd listened to, all the love songs, that they were only songs. What's wrong with that? Nothing, if you don't believe in them. But she did, you see. She believed in enchanted evenings, and she believed that a small cloud passed overhead and cried down on a flower bed, and she even believed there was breakfast to be had... Where? On Pluto. The mysterious, icy wastes of Pluto.

re: Danny Gurwin as Fiyero?

THe goat doesn't die onstage but when she rips the cloak it is assumed that the Wizard would harm/kill him to destroy the evidence that could be used against him.
