Was anyone else a fan of his? I thought he was quite the performer and had an exceptional voice. My predictions come tony time included he along side Sutton & Maureen because he gives such a great performance. I have read that he has missed a few shows as of late? Does anyone know anything? Is he okay? Is there a problem? Just curious, don't want him to suffer from the Donna Murphy curse. Daniel Davis has returned to LA CAGE and only missed a handful of shows for that last lead actor slot. Hopefully Gurwin will be able to return soon.
really liked Gurwin and didn't know him previously.
I saw Danny in a production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat back in the mid 90's in a regional theatre and knew at that moment that he had Broadway written all over him - I'm glad to see he's had some great successes.
I liked him a lot in LW.

I just saw him this past Saturday, and I thought he was great! He seems like he has a beautiful voice but wasn't really able to show it off. He just seemed very natural up there and seemed like he was having a good time...and as I've mentioned before on these boards, he was a total sweetheart at the stagedoor! And I agree, I think he has a shot at a Tony nomination as long as he does enough performances...I was wondering about those abscences I've heard about myself...I had also never seen him in anything before, but I hope to see much more of him in the future!
that must be a fun apartment...Gurwin and Kudisch as roomies.

Yeah, I was actually thinking about that while I was watching the show...it must be fun! It was also fun to know that Danny & Sutton did children's theater together growing up...really cool that now they're Laurie & Jo together on Broadway!

So many said that he wasn't that good in LW. Personally, I enjoyed his performance. He doesn't have a lot to work with, but does well with what he's been dealt.
I absolutely <3 his voice!
Gurwin and Kudisch in the same apt. Yum!

I thought he was very good. A lot of onstage life and presence with great acting and vocal chops to boot.
I didn't know him before Little Women, but I think that he was pretty good.

Danny replaced Jason Danieley in THE FULL MONTY. He was exceptionally good.

I loved Danny in LW! Hes adorable. He was nice at the stage door too, even though i didn't talk to him to much, he was kind of escaping the crowd since they were waiting for Sutton.
I think he does a fine job considering that he has very little to work with. His voice sounds super-trained, however, which is kind of irksome -- but he does a nice job. I wouldn't exactly say that is a role that has "Tony Nomination" written on it for several reasons. The critics were not a fan of Little Women and Tony committee will be reluctant to embrace it as a whole given the amount of competition in musicals that exists this year. Additionally, the character of Laurie is only given a handful of rather lame lines and one rather lame song -- which will be difficult to compete with major supporting actors from shows like "Spamalot".
He was PHENOMENAL in A Little Night Music as "Henrik" the repressed priest in training. I fell in love with him on the spot. He doesn't have much to work with in LW, but I think he's great anyway.

He's now on my list of performers to track. He took a totally underwritten character and added a fair amount of memorability to it (think about how many chracters just came off as bland in the show). I was sitting there during the first act and kept hearing his voice and wanted to place where it was from, and kept hearing Professor Hill from Music Man. Turns out that I saw him in Forbidden Broadway 2001, and he does the hilarious Music Man impression on the CD.

As good as Danny is, he will not be nominated for LW - just my opinion. Small role with not much to do. Doesn't come near to showcasing his talents, which by the way were on ALMOST full display in Joseph & The Technicolor Dreamcoat. This guy is BUILT!
Just the thought of him and Marc walking around their place in various states of clothing gives me the vapors.

to tie two of the current threads together, perhaps Danny is helping Markie work out and get in better shape. The interview i read compared them to the Odd Couple, but i'd call them the Hot Couple.
If only they were a couple! The thoughts going around my head right now, oy!
So we're finally calling them a couple? About time.

I volunteer to be towel boy in their apartment/house. They wouldn't need to pay me.
Maybe Kristin was Marc's beard?
That's what I thought all along.
