Daphne Rubin-Vega's CD

I saw in the BC/EFA magazin, that Daphne Rubin-Vega has another CD besides "Rocketman(single)". Does anyone have it? Is it good? Whats on it? I'm thinking of getting it cus I LOVE HER! Thanks!

I think you can only get it from the BC/EFA site. I think it's called Souveniers.

On the BC/EFA site it's titled "Unreleased" and has a list of the songs. Now if someone can tell me if its good or whatever, then I would be happy!

Yeah, "Unreleased" is the name thing. She did a pretty good job with it - it's not really my style, but it's fun when you're in the right mood.

It's called Souviners. It's unreleased, but I have it! I wrote to her like 4 years ago and she sent me her CD and a photo autographed. Unfortunatly I can't find either one right now. But ya try and find an address and write to her.

It is really good, it has about 12 or 13 songs. I don't know why it's unreleased, something about her record label.

I think you can get the CD without actually writing to her - you can order it on the BC/EFA website.

I've been wanting to write her for A LONG TIME! So it's just cool that I can write her AND get her CD from her.

DO they still forward the fan mail to the OBC of RENT if you send it to the Nederlander!? I heard they did that, I just dont know if its true or not.

I got her CD through BCEFA recently, and I really like it, especially the first cut. I think she's a remarkable artist.

I got her CD free in a goodie bag when they did the RENT reunion a few years back. It's not really my type of music, but I like it a lot. I also caught her in concert (a double bill w/ Anthony Rapp) and she was great! I know her voice isn't everyone's cup of tea, but I like her a lot, and if you can get your hands on the CD, I'd recommend it.
But when did New Hampshire become--Such a backward wasteland of seatbelt hating crazies?...I mean, only 40 people actually live there. The others are just visitors who come for the tax-free liquor and three inches of novelty coastline. John Hodgeman on The Daily Show (1-30-07)

I don't have the CD, but I heard her sing material from it in that concert she did with Adam a few months ago. I didn't love the music, like I said before, but she's one HELL of a performer.

I agree Emcee. I went to that Anthony Rapp concert w/ someone who can't stand Daphne/her voice, but I think she left having a new appreciation for her.

I'm THRILLED to see her get SO much positive feed back! But, does anyone know if I can send her a fan letter to the Nederlander, and if they'll forward it to her!? What are my chances of her responding?
