ROSALIE T. VEGA, a swing on the national tour of Mamma Mia!
Is this Daphne's sister? Looks a lot like her...
I think if she was her sister she'd be "Rubin-Vega"
But she does look an awful lot like her!
from her website:
"Rosalie was eventually given that chance and with her powerful Patti Labelle rendition of Lady Marmalade she beat out hundreds of other hopefuls and received three more callbacks to audition for the principal role of Mimi – then played by Daphne Rubin-Vega (no relation) who earned a Tony nomination for best actress in originating the role. “Well, I didn’t get the part”, she laughs, “but it was still such an amazing and exciting time for me and definitely a huge ego boost!”"
striking coincidence, though!

The Rubin-Vega part cant determine because Daphne probly became Rubin-Vega when she married, if she is.
Rubin-Vega was Daphne's last name before she married
besides, one usually would add her husband's last name after hers; thus making her Daphne Rubin before she got married. but it doesn't matter, because they're not related.
Her name was Rubin-Vega for her father and stepfather.
Just clearing that up.
They do look very similar though. Strange coincidences...
That's a lovely picture, but Daphne doesn't have a sister It's too bad Rosalie didn't get to play Mimi!!

I just saw the touring performance of "Mamma Mia!" (fabulous, very high energy). I was scouting through the cast list and my heart dropped and I was like, HOLY FRICK IT'S DAPHNE! I looked at the name and showed my best friend and we were like, there must be a relation! Let me tell you, in person that girl is a dead-ringer. We waited for her at the stage door for half an hour, but finally we had to leave before she came out (half the cast offered to give her a message, but what were we supposed to say? We're crazy people who think you look like Mimi?) Anyway, to the person that posted about rosalievega.com, if you look there you can easily tell that it's not the same girl. D: So I don't know, maybe she was a niece or something? She looked JUST like her. Same height, build, face, hair, I swear. There has to be some similar blood there. :)

I know! Geeze we waited FOREVER and never saw her..
but she was a frickin DEAD RINGER!!! They must be related somehow! Mayhaps they're cousins? I don't see how they could be so similar and have no relation to each other...
But she was still adorable, regardless of whether or not she's related to Daphne.
