...according to the most exciting paragraph in a rather snarky article about the Public's musical theatre celebration at Joe's Pub in his morning's NY Times.
Okay, I now take back everything I said about how pop songwriters should not attempt writing musicals.

They already wrote it a few years ago.
It's called Here Lies Love and the 2 cd recording is available on amazon for 14.99.

Perhaps it will yield a good theatrical work, but for listening only, it's rather dull. Nevertheless, wishing them all the best,

Posted: 3/8/12 at 3:27pmThere's a couple of decent songs... it is very Evita-y, however it is more way more loosely constructed than Evita. Norman Cook's involvement seems to be more on the production side as far as the songwriting goes... but still some enjoyable moments.
