David Gest sues Liza!!!- Page 2

Like many adult children (I've been to enough meetings to form a course for credit)who grew up in insecure home situations, Liza undoubtedly has been looking for someone to take care of her for her whole life (and may have even come close with gay husband #2, Jack Haley). After some major personal and professional setbacks in the last few years, she really really wanted/needed someone to take care of her. Upon the horizon appears Mister Gest.

He says he'll manage and produce her (Shades of Sid Luft) and she looks like a gravy train. There will be some cachet to have been married to Liza.

Everybody and their mother heard the warning bells and sirens except Liza.

David is a pig. Sorry, but he smelled like one two years ago and smells worse now.

Liza has to break patterns and not just substance issues, but also she has to stop looking for a white knight and become her own savior. And start falling in love with straight men for crying out loud.

This is textbook behavior. Ask anybody in program.

I agree. And what surprised me was how many people at the old board just NEEDED to believe that this was different, that they were really in love, that it didn't matter that they were of two entirely different sexual orientations. They tuned into the Larry King appearances and didn't see constant spin doctoring and creepy manipulation. They were all passive enablers, and those of us who did smell the smell two years ago were labelled cynical Liza bashers.

What Liza REALLY needs, is a butch girlfriend.

P.S. "Plaintiff was forced to undergo painful medical procedures, including numerous injections into the scalp, temporal area, and forehead in an effort to break the cycle of severe unrelenting pain." What complete coincidence that Botox is approved for pain relief.

I think the most shocking thing about this story is that David believes that Liza HAS TEN MILLION DOLLARS. She may have ten million dolls (as does David, so I hear, but his are really DOLLS) but $10,000,000?

Liza may have 10 mil in assets. There's an apartment or two in NYC, a Florida house and an LA house I think. There may be other trusts from Dad. What she sure doesn't have is 10 mil is cash. (Who does?)

This MAC contract is paying some current expenses as is the TV gig. She could use some guest shots on TV to pick up some other bucks. I hope her agent (not manager) is working overtime on that.

My guess is that she has a lot less money and assets than people might think. The medical expenses ate up a lot of dollars and so did the cancelled gigs.

She may have to do a memoir simply to get the money. She can't start it though until this lawsuit is settled. It is an asset.

As for the butch girlfriend, I would avoid commenting on that for fear of getting touched too often with 10 foot poles....

Very off topic here...but man, you guys make me laugh in the morning. Great topic and GREAT! posts here!

I don't have much to say on it except that the first time I saw him I wanted to gag. Some people are pretty, some are ugly...he was just gross! A bit greasy.

Liza's upper east side apartment would probably fetch something in the high seven figures in todays NYC real estate market. Her art collection alone is probably worth at the very least $10 million. (I believe she owns several Warhols, a Hockney and a Jackson Pollack among others.) Her father's house in Beverly Hills even in its current state of disrepair is on a prime piece of real estate and would easily go for $6 or $7 million (a tear down). She's also got property in Florida. I don't know if she still has her house in Vegas. In addition to whatever stock/bond investments she may have, Liza also gets royalties from Vincent's films (everytime someone buys a DVD or GIGI plays on TCM she gets a check) as well as residuals from her own films. I have a feeling money is the least of Liza's concerns at this time.

Right. Whether the "white knight" is an opportunistic pig like Gest
or an idealistic straight or gay man, a butch girlfriend, or even the all-knowing Namo, it ain't going to work. Didn't I read somewhere that stereotypical alchoholic/adictive behavior is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results? Yeah, I did. Nobody is going to "save" her.

David Gest gives me a headache, vertigo, nausea, mood dysphorea, etc. and, no doubt, is doing the same for Liza, but he's not her worst problem.

Abuse is a very serious matter for both sexes....If Mr.Gest was abused during their marriage, he needed to report the abuse to the police and Liza would have been arrested......It was reported on Good Day Live that Mr. Gest is now taking 11 pills for pain...Oh Pleaseeeee...How many pills was Mr. Gest taking before he married Liza?....I think David Gest is chicken **** demanding 10 million dollars....How dare him...GET A FRICKEN LIFE MR. GEST....

It is simply about money. He sees his meal ticket gone so he figures let me get the money now before it is all gone. The NY Post had a whole spread about them & some diary entries.. WILD . Image Liza writing a tell all book. Boy would that sell. Wonder what the Enquirer & other scandal sheets top story will be their next issue
