Posted: 8/24/06 at 11:38amWord on the street is that Corine Cohen will be covering this event for her site, www.corinescorner.com. What night is anybody's guess, but if you want to be sure to meet her just go to all three. Who knows, your picture might make it onto CoCo's Co.

Hi,
Just to clarify, I never was putting down Gurland. In fact,
I decided to take all of your advice and see his show.
Go to all three of his concerts. Look for photo coverage next week.

I was there. He is very talented. I loved his entrance. I wont ruin it for others but his outfit was hysterical.
Wait for coverage on my site. Photos and an interview coming soon.
It is the kind of show that I recommend everyone see.
Additionally, he is charming and so is Robbie Maitner!
It is sort of a Madonna concert with a tiny bit of Forbidden Broadway slapstick. It is a very funny show and if you love Madonna, it is a must see.
He sang some of my favorites:
Celebration
Borderline
Like A Prayer
I had a great time. I am still laughing thinking about his entrance.

I was there, and Corine is right, it was a terrific show...so much energy and so much fun! There is such a juxtaposition between the silliness and the astonishingly inventive and perfectly executed arrangements of the songs, that it makes for a unique and memorable stage event. Musically, it stands on its own, too. There is never any doubt that, to a man, all on stage are exceptionally talented. And even for a non-Madonna-fan like me, it has me singing the songs for days afterwards.
If you've not seen Neurotica, this is your last chance. I you have seen it before, it's worth the trip to see the evolution in David's stage presentation...and wardrobe.
And brava to Corine for being open-minded and coming to see the show. She looked like she was enjoying herself!

If it's anything like Forbidden Broadway it must be great!
Two more shows people. Can't wait for the photos and interview!

I can't believe that iflit and CoCo were the only two from this board to go this weekend. (Talk about an odd couple, how did you two end up on a date?)
Congratulations, David and Rob. I am sure it was a blast.
