David Henry Hwang on Gene Wilder

I have just read BroadwayWorld's report on Mr. Hwang's beautiful words on the passing of Mr. Wilder. I was surprised that Mr. Wilder ever had anything to do with Mr. Hwang's play, M. Butterfly. I have never read that before. He would have been fascinating. Further, are we to take the rest of the article as simple fact? Wondering what others here think. Just curious.
