In case anyone's interested, they released new tickets today. I've looked for tickets for Saturday all of last week and yesterday and nothing, a few minutes ago I tried again and it worked. I finally got a ticket for the second preview performance!

Did anybody here win the lottery?
They were supposed to notify winners by noon today.
I wasn't notified, so I guess that means I lost.

I had to choose this over AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY, due to the fact I can only stay for a couple of nights and there's no Monday night performance. Hope it was worth it.

Does anyone think this show might extend? I read Ruhl's "The Clean House" and am seeing a local production next week. I don't get to the city until Tuesday, March 25th but would buy a ticket should the run extend.

I'm ushering for this (I didn't want to pay full price and was afraid I wouldn't be able to get a ticket through the rush). They did emphasize the fact that ushers won't be able to sit because it's sold out. I can't wait to see it.

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

I guess I didn't win the lotto either.
As far as ushering, I think if you're not already in you're out of luck. One of the men ushering at Next to Normal tonight said he'd given them like 12 dates and all of them were taken.

I think you made a good choice Ray. IMO, August is the most overrated play on Broadway.

Jewishboy, I literally thought about it until I had about five seconds to buy the ticket before they gave it up. It eventually came down to the fact that I've wanted to see Mary-Louise Parker live for many years, and Chalfant is another great actress that I want to experience live.
I am trying to put a trip together to see AUGUST but I doubt I'll be able to unless it extends through the summer. I just hope DEAD MAN'S CELL PHONE was worth paying a full price ticket and giving up the chance of watching AUGUST.

I planned on buying my tickets today, but the only seats that came up were for Friday night which I cannot attend. Does anyone think that new seats will pop up, or should I try the box office on the day of?

I think they just released some new tickets, because I searched a bunch of dates a few days ago and they came up as sold out, but tried today and got a single seat for the last Saturday evening performance! SO EXCITED!

I saw it tonight as a valentine's day treat by getting a last minute pair on wednesday. It was awesome. And MLP was wearing a sparkly thing on her finger. I said to my husband-- I think she's engaged and I just got home and bam, google says:
