Dead Outlaw to Receive Chicago Premiere in February 2027 at Porchlight Theatre

Ain't gonna happen. Briar Street's going to become condos.

And it should be pointed out that Victory Gardens, the landlord for the Biograph, is still considered by a large portion of the Chicago theater community as toxic, which is they've basically been dormant for four years since they more-or-less imploded, with the artistic director fired and the staff threatening to unionize (and they got fired too). It didn't help that the one show they did last year was a David Mamet play. And you have to go look up the 990s to see who the board is--their names are NOT on the company website. And the rest of the Porchlight season--"Little Shop" for the umpteenth time in Chicago and a one-person show about Ann Miller (who most young musical theater fans have never heard of and don't care about)--is not helping any either.
