I'm curious to see how the cancellation line will be affected by Ben's announcement.

They come down in price closer to show time, assuming they don't sell.

Most sellers on StubHub are doing it all the time, so they don't want to risk their reputation with StubHub selling bogus tickets. You can always opt for pickup/mail tickets, if you're concerned, since then you will get a hard ticket. If the ticket is bogus, you will get your $$$ back, and if you find out in time, they will try and replace the ticket, though.

"

How much do the StubHub tickets usually go for before a show? And how close are we talking... Like 30 mins before the show? Are there typically always tickets available that way or is it a crapshoot?

The October block that showed up last week could have been due to a group cancelation (school group, etc). That's generally what happens when a block like that shows up. I think you should be fine barring any illness or emergency.

Where can I find the info about dates Ben isn't performing??

On the Telecharge page for DEH, click Event Overview, and they will be posted there.

It's a crap shoot but often times it will fall below face value. It might not fall that low as we get closer to departure but I saw tickets for $100 or so two hours before performance yesterday. One weekend a few posters and I were discussing how we saw tickets for $30 to a matinee. If you can wait till an hour or so before show time and buy them on mobile that's a good option

"

tickets dropped a lot yesterday only because ben was out. if you look at dates with ben 30 minutes before on stubhub, you are lucky if you can get them for $200-250. occasionally, you will get lucky and they will drop more but tickets are rarely going to drop to $100 if ben is in, especially now that he announced he's leaving.

Thanks for the info! I see that some tickets are available for pickup nearby and some for mobile download. Why aren't they all available to be downloaded... is there any difference for the seller? And for pickup tickets, are they picked up near the theatre? I'm just trying to figure out how likely this is to actually work before I plan a trip solely based on trying to see this show :)

There are a couple of $250 tickets for both September 3rd and 6th (8 pm). Ben will be out of both performances, but maybe someone is still interested :)

Just got my plane tickets to NY! It's a gamble, but I'm hoping to get tickets to the Saturday, September 23rd performance (matinee or evening). All my hope is pinned on [the cancellation line].

What day/time does your plane land and take-off again?

HunterK said: "I got to the line at 5am this morning and there were at least 20+ people waiting. I walked right back to the hotel and went to sleep. Got up at 10 and walked over. Cancellation line was outside and only had 2 people. I honestly didn't know it was the line. So I waited in the box office line to ask, there were 10 people in front trying to buy for today or in the future. When I finally got up to the window, the very nice lady said the line is outside. I turned my heard and the line went from 2 people to 12, all the people in front of me in the box office line went and waited. I knew I didn't have a chance. I asked the box office lady if she had anything tonight or tomorrow and she said "hold on" and went and talked to the woman at the other window. All I heard was "I can release it?" She smiled and said I have Row F Mezzanine seat 108 for $169. I couldn't put my card down fast enough. Got my ticket for tomorrow night. The people behind me then asked for tomorrow as well and she said sold out. So I do not know how I got so lucky! Very excited!

Thanks for the positive thoughts!

HunterK--how was your Mezzanine Row F seat? My seat is just a few over, same row and section. Thank you!

A bunch of seats opened up on Telecharge for Wednesday's matinee show (premium pricing) possible Ben is not doing the afternoon?

I won the lottery for tonight's performance -- paid within 2-3 minutes and I have standing room. Very excited to see the show for the first time!!

I'm looking at StubHub tickets for tonight's show to see if they come down in price (for reference for future shows). The show starts in a minute and it's still showing 14 tickets, for $300 at the cheapest. So does that mean 14 tickets just go to waste and those seats are empty during the performance?

From what I've been seeing, morning prices are cheaper than the nights- I saw tickets for yesterday for $230 but by 6:30 the only ones left were $600. At that point it's probably resellers who don't bother to check which tickets are selling.

Today like 5 minutes before the matinee, tickets were as low as $99

I'm curious about this too - noticed yesterday that right before showtime availability changed to pickup at stubhub last-minute something-or-other and the closest one is at 39th. Has anyone done this???

How does this work though, since there's no way to get your butt in the seat in time if you buy the tickets 5 minutes before the show starts, and they don't let latecomers in?

I saw Hamilton last year in June, and I literally bought the tickets 4 minutes before the show. I ran as fast as I could from the Marriot Marquis (where I bought the tickets from on the 8th floor) and didn't even miss the opening number. Pickup is another story though, I'm not sure if you could run from 39th to 45th street in 5 minutes.

I know it says no late-seating, but every time I have seen the show, they have absolutely sat people late. =

I'd say 39th to 45th wouldn't be impossible if you were fairly fit and the lights were co-operative lol (I am a quick walker but I almost always make it the 10 blocks from the train to my job in the city within 10 minutes) If you were camping out at the StubHub pickup center it could be done.

Same here, two seats in front of me were empty until halfway through act 1, when the usher helped them get seated. so I think the "no late seating" policy isn't that strict

Sorry I'm confused! Is the ticket pickup at the Marriott or 39th street? Why don't all sellers make the tickets available through mobile download?

The sellers choose if its instant download/print or pickup. If its pickup, its at the Stubhub center on 39th. If it isn't then the Marriot is just where you can print out tix if you download them. I don't know why they're not all available for download though

Oh so even if you get it as download you have to print them? You can't scan a barcode on your phone?
