Dear Evan Hansen OBC Contracts

I'm going to see DEH this summer (2018) and I want to know if I will be seeing any of the original cast there. I especially want to see Laura Dreyfuss as Zoe. I know that their contracts ended in November of 2017, but they extended them until this May. Does anyone know the chances of them pushing the contract back even farther to this November?

It's almost May and there's been no news about them extending, so I wouldn't really count on it. I think it's likely that Michael Park and JLT will stay, but I don't have a lot of faith in the "teens" staying, especially Mike and Laura.

Thank you so much! I'm sure the show will be just as amazing, with or without them. I assume Taylor Trensch will be my Evan Hansen, correct? Also, do you know who will be replacing some of the characters like Zoe yet?

Don’t take my word for it, but last I heard was that Mike was the only one leaving in May.

I really hope Laura and Rachel will still be there whenever I get to see it, but considering I (sadly) have no plans to do that soon, it's probably wishful thinking...

But you need to remember: there also isnt any ;news about replacements -- so no news is just that: nothing.

As per a friend in the show, Mike Faist is leaving in May, Will is leaving in June, the rest of the cast is staying until at least August.

I know there are open casting calls for "possible" replacements for DEH this Friday in Chicago. Who knows if they'll actually find replacements during that call though. 

Edit: They call posting says rehearsals would begin early August. So the timeline fits.
