Dame - I would definitely consider Deborah a diva, but one without the 'diva' attitude.
Al Dente - LOVED your last post (before the 'pluuume' joke) and totally see where you're going with your defining of 'superstar'. I definitely appreciate the point you made, for you made it quite well.
Plum - this thread is pointless, yet you felt the need to add your 2 cents??? :-o
TheaterMafia - Another Big Hug, just for you.
Seriously, are you guys just sharing your opinions or are you really looking to change my mind?? My only point since the very beginning is that Me, Myself & I consider Deborah Cox to be a superstar...just as I consider Heather Headley & Idina to be. It just so happens that I am a little more open-minded and define superstar on a much deeper/broader level than simply world renoun status, record sales & awards. D@mn me for not conforming!

I know the original tour has been over for a little while now. Not sure if they're still going to roll with the nonequity version.

1st I want to say wassup to everyone. I'm sure many of you would like to see this thread die but I wanted my 1t posting to this board to be to this thread which has been most entertaining. I came on looking for information on AIDA and never thought I would get addicted to reading your messages. At 1st I felt like an outsider but after this I feel like I know all of ya. So if you don't mind, I would love to put my 2 cents in on this never ending topic.
1st Cent) I have to admit that I agree with CRP2000. Deborah Cox is a "superstar" by all definitions of the word. Just because she's not a house hold name through out the WORLD doesn't make her less of a "superstar" than Madonna and Britney Spears. This has nothing to do with one obsessing over her. Do you think if she didn't have some type of "superstar" status that she be would playing the roll of AIDA? You will also be VERY surprised to know who other countries consider a "superstar" that are from the US. This should be the same for the "superstars" from other countries. Meaning, how many Americans would consider Cui Jian a superstar? Now ask this same question in China and I'm sure you will get a different response. And I'm also sure that I will disagree with many of you who you consider a "superstar."
2nd Cent) I think the above is gonna have to count for 2.

Posted: 4/26/04 at 12:27amWell; little miss Hussy thinks she is all that ,with that exra special, very literate opinion. HONEY; MOST PEOPLE OUTSIDE OF HERE AND SOME CLUBS DO NOT KNOW WHO SHE IS. That has nothing to do with being a fan or thinking that she is very talented and hot. That Superstar term has unfortunately lost its name value because it gets throw around alot. Snap. Snap.
