Denis O'Hare news report on true blood last night

In what I believe has been a so-so season of true blood thus far was brought to amazing levels last night with Denis O'Hare's Russell doing a speech of epic proportions. This was by the far the best scene of the episode and of this season. His speech about true vampires and the human race was amazing and not "spineless". And ended with one of the biggest laughs of the season. If he does not get an emmy nod next year there really is no justice.

Denis O'Hare is the ONLY reason to watch this show. He's the only one who seems to understand just how ridiculous the whole thing is.

Faced with these Loreleis, what man can moralize!

I disagree with everything the two of you have said, except for the praise for last night's episode and O'Hare's scene at the end. It was fantastic last night!

Wahwah- True Blood is fabulous and crazy and insanely fun summer TV. I am so disappointed that Talbot AND Franklin died this season though! And Russell obviously has it coming...

Also on a Bway note: that cry that O'Hare did when he was fussing over Talbot's ... remains gave me Assassins flashbacks. The man can play crazy so well!

From the enjoyably bad accents to the over-the-top histrionics, I'd say MOST of the cast is well aware what a boatload of crazy this show is.
