I think in the past when something is so known and commonly produced, it sometimes ends up being a "revival" even if never on B'way before. 

Just like the guy hosting SNL, it all seems soooo fast. (SNL gig was only a couple of months after hitting the public eye) This phenomenon is only 6-ish months in, and we already have a legit commercial launch of a parody musical. Wish things could percolate a bit more before becoming so all-encompassing. 

Long term sales for Lea M’s replacement must have looked bleak. 
 

Really wish they could’ve filmed this… The last filmed version has such terrible audio which is a shame. 

Really, really wish they were hosting the whole thing... but yeah, I know CBS wanted a bigger "name". 

Is there a discount code for this? I thought I had one from a mailer but looks like it expired.

Would love to see them as Mary and Mary's Husband. And with absolutely zero acknowledgment they're 30-40 yrs older than the rest of the characters/cast. (insane and will never happen... can you imagine the ticket prices?)

Tonight's (Sat) evening show's judges were Trammell Tillman (Severance) and Jelani Alladin.

Energy was amazing... hate hearing the matinee crowd was a dud. :-(

House right Box F 1-3 seats were a blast! Might not have liked them as much with a traditionally staged show or non-musical, but for this they were epic; felt right in the middle but also kinda "peeking in." Was cool, and a bonus was they're well priced. 

Producers: “Hi. We’re thinking about…”

Arden: “Say no more, I’ll do it!”

Just noticed this in my "your upcoming performance" email from Roundabout. Guess they're trying to keep it fun for the longtime fans, but within reason for everyone else I guess? Hmmm... Wonder how many meetings they've had about this topic. haha

Saw Lestat. Biggest crime it committed was just being flat out boring. Tedious and unmemorable. 

Just finished the book today… loved it, and hated leaving the characters behind. Am hopeful Bareilles and Arden can work some alchemy as I have zero idea how this could work as a musical (or play for that matter). The book spanning almost four decades would seem to be only one of the challenges.

Description says they’re low back stools around a cafe table. Pix look like they’re mid-back leather barstools which I’m fine with. Back support makes me happy. :-)

Took a chance on F 1-3 box seats house right for next week. Only other option for three together was pretty far back in the orchestra, and the overhang seems to be an issue. We'll see. 🤞
