From yesterday's Melbourne Herald Sun:
Tanya Maree Quattrocchi, 21, of Oak Park, was released on a community-based order and ordered to serve 150 hours of community service after she was convicted of stalking and blackmail.
The County Court heard Quattrocchi was obsessed with US pop singer Diana DeGarmo, 19, and hounded her with unwanted phone calls and text messages before stealing her identity.
Quattrocchi phoned DeGarmo 369 times and sent her 570 text messages between March and June last year, the court heard.
One text message read: "I could kill you before you could even lay a finger on me.
"I know I'm out of line here, but I don't give a f---.
"How badly do you want to kill me right now? Bring it on bitch."
How nice that you can threaten to kill someone and try to extort money from them and harass them endlessly by phone and online and the end result is you have to do a bit of community service...

She should be in JAIL! I can only imagine how porr Diana is feeling right now.
That's horrible! She should be getting a hasher sentence than that.

Diana's had a rough year and with this joke of a legal system the stalker has free license.

It's sad that the only person who didn't think she deserved to go to jail was the judge who could have made it happen. The blackmail charge alone should have been worth something but combine that with the charge of hacking and all the harassment and other criminal behavior (including a text message where she threatened to kill Diana)? Seems like a slam dunk jail sentence.
The sentencing of Diana’s hacker is a travesty of the law. Blackmail, credit card theft, identity theft, and death threats meant nothing to the judge. Tanya gave Diana a harsher sentence then the judge gave Tanya.
Poor Parksy!
I WAS JUST ABOUT TO POST THAT!

Maybe Parks is on his way to Melbourne to kick some ass.

The idea that the judge thinks she has good prospects for rehabilitation is ridiculous in light of the extent of her behavior and her lack of remorse.
