Will Queen Paulus bring Uganda to Broadway after Finding Neverland in 2015?

It already played the A.R.T earlier this year, and they've been having readings of it. I'd imagine its going to Broadway soon if it gets the funding. Diane is also directing Waitress at the ART this summer which will be going to Broadway in 2016

I saw Witness Uganda at ART. As I said when this was brought up before: I don't see this as being commercially viable on Broadway.

FindingNamo, will Waitress be considered original material because the movie wasn't a musical? (Honestly asking, not sure how the definition goes.)

If it gets that far, yes, it will be an original musical. It has never been mounted as a musical. Even if the music weren't new, it would still be a new STAGE musical, although the music itself might not be eligible.

Having attended Finding-Nevland at ART, I don't see it as commercially viable for Broadway, either.

I guess the whole reason was this post was to see if anyone had any word on wether is was coming to the Great White Way. I agree with you ... "FindingNamo" how can we say that Diane Paulus cannot do new material. There are lots of things that some don't see viable for Broadway.. and you said-- you didnt think Findind Neverland was either. None of are producers ( i hope not) so wether or not we see fit for some shows to come to Broadway- they still get produced and put up. I wanted to see if anyone had any leads or word about the show. Like I said I saw from an earlier post that they did a workshop or something in October..and I wonder how that went and If Diane Paulus would direct TWO new musicals during the same Tony Season?? and potential be a contender against herself!! Wishful thinker.. maybe. As far as Finding Neverland.. I saw it with Jeremy Jordan and since Matthew Morrison will be taking over- im sure the show will change its dinamics. I thought it was a fun, playful family show! I saw Witness Uganda at ART and I was blown away- there were some flaws, but nothing too bad. Definitely polor opposite of Neverland, but powerful and new in its own way; it had potential. Diane has her way with shows, original and revivals... I just wanna know what will come of her take of New Works next year.

They also worked on Cirque du Soleil's Amaluna together as well. As for directors working on two shows in one season, Susan Stroman did both Big Fish and Bullets Over Broadway last season. People do it all the time

Stroman also did The Music Man and Contact in the same season and got tony nominations for direction and choreography for both shows (4 nominations total in 1 season). I <3 her
