I think Company (The 2006 Broadway Revival) Cast album will be #1 in The Billboard Top Cast Albums.
Dude, your question doesn't even make sense.
This is hilariously incoherent.
Is it in the past? In the future? I just can't decide!
Shawn (lots of numbers afterwards), please explain the question that doesn't even come close to making sense.
The CD was just released.
I hated the cd, the orchestrations sounded tinny and thin, and the magic from the stage did not transfer at all to the cast album

C'mon guys, we can certainly all agree that "Did 'Company (The 2006 Broadway Revival)' Cast Album will be the greatest?'
It's schoolbus to the elephant gyrating, completely. Lightbulb!
Look, I appreciate your enthusiasm, but what can I say?
FANBOY ALERT!
Hmmmm, if you're asking, "Will 'Company (The 2006 Broadway Revival)' Cast Album be the greatest cast album ever???
then probably not. As much as I loved it, I don't think it stands much a chance on the Billboard charts either. I agree about the orchestrations, but still thought the album was fabulous!!!
I don't think it will top the cast recording chart. I had to search and search to find a copy in Seattle, only to find one at retail price (20 bucks). It is not in enough places to come in number one or even make a big dent in the charts.
I love the recording, but best cast album ever? It can't even begin to touch the OBC. Nothing could.
I've already listened to it sixteen or seventeen times, so it's definately one of my favorites, but it's not going to be near the top ten - ever.
Billboard chart placements are based on sales and airplay.
Well, there is no airplay and Wicked sells a lot more each week than Company.
But I'm glad you like it so much.

Ya know.. I just can't get into it. I'm going to have some time off in May and I'm trying to decide whether or not to see it. I just really don't like this Company cast recording, but I was really dissappointed in the Sweeney release as well even though I'd already seen it on stage and was completely blown away. Maybe Doyle's shows just don't transfer very well?
I'll say the same thing I did about Sweeney when it was released--WHY DIDN'T THEY JUST RECORD IT LIVE!! At least Company wasn't priced and packaged as a two disc recording even though it was only 10 minutes over the length of one CD... Ugh that just made me so angry with Sweeney. The complete show would have quite easily fit on 2 CDs. It was exactly two hours.

your title makes no sense. what are you 2?
Heh. It's ironic that a thread in which the first post praised the CD and another in which the first post praised Raúl's performance have essentially turned into "why I hate ___" threads for each respective subject.
I have nothing to say. Everyone knows where I stand on both.
I actually think the recording is fantastic. It's the only COMPANY recording to actually include a substantial amount of dialogue, and I'm happy about that. I think it's much better than the SWEENEY recording.
I enjoy some of the new orchestrations, especially in the opening number, LADIES, and BEING ALIVE. But still, the original orchestrations are out of this world - and always will be.

Say what?
You're right, Emcee -
I like this thread title. I mean, I'm still trying to figure it out, but open interpretations are fun.
Sadly, I think not. I love it, but this sort of thing doesn't have mass-appeal.
I live in State College, PA & tried to find a copy in a store fro a friend's b-day. Everyone just looked at me like was half crazy looking for this CD, so I highly doubt it will sell enough copies to make it to the top spot on the Charts. Also, Best Buy wanted $18.99!!! I just ordered another copy from Amazon.
Isn't it technically not out until the 26th? I know it's been available on a limited scale, but maybe it'll be more readily available *after* the 26th. (Amazon.co.uk is still not happy with the idea of me purchasing it before the 26th; good job I got it from Dress Circle!)
Nope, it's out and officially released (as of this past Tuesday, the 20th). I guess if you're overseas, there's a delay?
