I bought my parents tickets to see Phantom of the Opera in January! I'm crossing my fingers that it doesn't snow. I'm so excited to give them this; they're always talking about seeing it, but never actually buy tickets.
I found the best seats on Wednesdays, so I actually had to make up a story so they had to get out of work that day: my psych paper was chosen to be read at a luncheon and I was receiving a plaque for it. Totally lame, but they bought it. Sorry this thread is random, but it's late, and I'm excited about the holidays!
Also is anyone seeing anything over their winter break? I might go see something but I'm not sure yet.

Yah, I bought my Mom and her best friend from college tickets to A Chorus Line. They went to see it over 10 times together during the original run while they were both in college. They were musical theatre majors. So it's like a reunion type gift, I guess.

Well, my mom got me THE WEDDING SINGER tickets as my big Christmas present if that counts
I offered, though, to get my parents tickets, and they said they rather see a movie instead of another show
*sigh*
oh well!
i try!

Posted: 12/17/06 at 1:15pmMy family and I all live in Florida so my grandmother gives me trips to New York for my birthday and Christmas. I just got back from my birthday trip (see the post titled "My NYC Trip December 7th-10th" for details). And for Christmas, we're going up in January and seeing A CHORUS LINE (front row center... loving the AmEx), THE APPLE TREE (front row center... loving the AmEx even more), THE LITTLE DOG LAUGHED (2nd row center), COMPANY (2nd row center), BUTLEY (front row center... still loving the AmEx), and THE DROWSY CHAPERONE (2nd row center). We also go up for a week during the summer. I love NY and all the wonderful, talented people that live there : ).
